These are the treasures that came home with me

I had to buy this as it is the closest I have ever seen to a chowchow, I got it from a Japanese stand so I am guessing it is an Akita, but love it anyway!!

These were from the same stand, just because!! 😆😆

I found 2 fat quarters with bear fabric, they are heading for an Aussie Hero quilt

I think the bear on this  panel will go in the Aussie Hero quilt too, the owls and eagles I am planning to make into cushions...one day!

Donna gave me these fabrics with bears to go towards the Aussie Hero quilt too. Fellow quilters are the best!!

Monday was sit and sew at Bellarine Quilters, I did a lot of cutting scraps, now I have a big pile of two and a half inch squares...another possible project for one day!!

I have a letter to write so had better make a move, soon it will be prepare dinner time!

Today I have been into the city on the train, which is good as sitting in the train gives you sewing time!!

Circles and one star I finished on the train trip today.

I met Donna at the Exhibition Centre and off we went.

There were so many beautiful quilts to look at today...will do a few today and more tomorrow I think

this fantasy bird was made with raw edge quilting after the pieces had been glued on, the organza along the bottom of the quilt creates a reflection in the water.

Loved this quilt showing a bit of Tibet ( I think), maybe Northern India where the Dalai Lama now lives..

and this one was in India, the quilting is beautiful

After I left Donna, I wandered about the park behind the Museum and found two geocaches.

once the caches were found I walked back to Southern Cross Station...4 km and it took me just over 48 mins. I was pretty tired once I got to the train station and happy to sit on the train!!

Must fire up for FNWF now...well maybe after dinner!!

Another hot one today!!

I have been up to Gisborne and back today, had my hair done at Margs, our lovely mobile hairdresser does her magic and off we go again!! Of course when you are in Gisborne a visit to Patch n Quilt is a must and as always I came out with a bag of goodies...I have had the urge to do some more EPP and I wanted to do Stars and decided to use reproduction fabric....not my usual bright colours!!

It isn't like I don't have anything else to do!! Lol!! Maybe I just needed another hand sewing pick up and go project!

This doll pattern was on special so I thought I would try and make it for the sales table at the Seachange quilt show next month.

The tram lady is finished!! Yay!! (Well except she isn't mounted n her canvas from yet!)  I have to find the staple gun, I know it is here somewhere, just not sure where, probably with the mini iron I can't find either!!! She needs to be stapled on to the canvas and she is all done. I m very happy with her.

I had better go and check on dinner!
