Heard this evening that the host Mum who has my toy voyager Buddy who is in Oklahoma is ok and has power. I don't know where in Oklahoma she lives but am very thankful she is ok. My thoughts and good wishes go to all those suffering over there.

Attempt at golf

Well yesterday I thought I was doing the right thing and went with DH to play golf at Romsey - I have never played proper golf before - just put-put type golf with the boys.
It was an interesting introduction - it started out a windy day, then we had hail, then rain, then the sun came back out, then more hail, followed by heavy rain - we are at the 8th hole by this time and I am dripping....then the sun came out in time for us to go home!!! Not sure if this is my game....;-)

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to everyone!
Today I find myself at home with the house to myself!!! Sons both overseas and DH gone to a chess club meeting. So some time in the garden - was suppose to be an hour...oh siren just going up the main road, always gives me a start!!!  So was supposed to be an hour in the garden but ended up being three - lots of weeds gone but body is a bit sore!! Ah well might have to have a soak in the bath later!! Hard life huh!! :-)

Lots more grass to get out but I am slowly winning!!

Birthday wall hanging

This wall hanging was for Tania's birthday yesterday - I found the photo of Ollie on Tania's blog - luckily it turns out to be her favourite!! How was that for a lucky guess!!

Ollie is soooooo cute!!! And I even had a go a free range quilting with the word love near the bottom - kind of scary when all is done except that!!

Finished project

The Route 66 wall hanging is done and heading to New Zealand today

I am very happy with how it worked out, we changed the plan a few times and had problems printing the photos but Jenny is happy with the finished wall hanging. Less Route 66 fabric as it is very busy!!
And more photos as they are what reinforces the happy memories!

 

Birthday wallhanging

In our Wednesday group we have been making a quilting lady wall hanging for each person on their birthday - this one is for Jenny - she is a knitting lady!

Finishes work

The yellow quilt is finished and ready to travel to New Zealand - lovely and soft with a backing of polo fleece.

Very happy with the little stitchery for the label - this is the second one I did, the first got caught up in some fabric and I cut it with the other fabric I was trimming!! Teach me to tidy up!!!!
