and then got distracted by something I had seen on another blog, and sadly I can't find it again!! (the blog that is) I just remembered it was Karen over at KaHolly. But,
the block is called International Sisters and was drafted by Pretti of Sew Pretti Quilts. This block appealed to me so off to the sewing room I went and so far I have one lady in Aboriginal fabric, one in fabric from Hawaii and one in Japanese fabric. So far I have used scraps. I am going to search out some of the fabric I got in Samoa and make a Samoan lady next, then one from NZ. Yes I am completely distracted.
Happy sewing.
A fantastic under the sea quilt....
ReplyDeleteI saw the African Queen blocks and it was Karen from KaHolly blog...
Your ladies look great.
I love the idea of your themed queen blocks
ReplyDeleteMaking these blocks is like eating potato chips! It is amazing how quickly the go together! Yours look beautiful, Sue! I can’t wait to see more! XO

ReplyDeleteLove each one of these international sisters. Your fabrics are the best. I agree that they are addictive. I look forward to seeing many more. Thank you for including the link to my blog :-) Since you were distracted by them, I suggest that you link with the Dreami (drop everything and make it) linky party at mmmquilts.com. I believe the party will start on the last Saturday of the month.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is looking great Sue. Love those blocks and such a great way to use fabrics from your travels.
ReplyDeleteOh and when I can't remember a place I visited online, I check my history and can usually locate it (not always if I am really forgetful)

Ah, those distractions. They keep tempting us away from what we should be doing.
But that's part of the fun.
Enjoy your week.
