The rubbish bins are emptied and the bins ready to go out, washing is done, dry and in, spring bulbs are planted, Aussie Hero Quilt finished, clam shell quilt finished...
Tesselaar's up in the Dandenongs had a sale of their spring bulbs, so daffodils, freesias and peacock iris are now in the garden. The ground is very dry so I hope they do ok.
Sharkie just needs his label written on and a letter and a packet of Tim Tams and he is off in the mail.
All quilted and bound, the clamshell has a couple of endy bits to thread in and that is done. I tried free motion quilting over the top of each clamshell, in some places it is more free range than free motion, but it is a cuddly quilt and I love it.
Yesterday was UFO day at Bellarine. I talked and listened a lot and talked some more, so the quilting I was supposed to be doing finally got done at home!
Sue J made these wonderful blocks for a QFO she is helping to make.
When I got home yesterday this rainbow drifted along the Bay
and this gorgeous face was waiting for me!
We spent the evening on the couch together
today we went for a morning walk, it was a lovely calm morning.
Last night I finished up anothee 4 hexies for Doing the Rounds..these ones are half an inch.
Best wishes
for a very happy week.
You were kept busy. That face is adorable - who wouldn't want to see that as you walk through the door. The shark quilt is fab - what are Tim Tams? I love the clam shell quilt and I must remember free - range - a good analogy lol. Enjoy the sunshine :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I am a list maker too. I enjoy crossing things off as I accomplish them. I often throw the lists away with nothing crossed off though!! I think that is such a lovely face to see greeting you. You have done well to finish all that you have done as well as the Aussie Hero quilt. Happy week to you Sue Xxx
ReplyDeleteVery productive list and day. Shark looks much friendlier with that tooth hehe..
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I make lists but never finish all of the things on them. When it gets messy with cross offs, I have to copy over to a new list. Congrats on the finishes!
ReplyDeleteSharkie will be loved and the clam shell quilt is gorgeous ! Very pretty hexies too , you have been busy 😊
ReplyDeleteAdmirable progress! Hopefully, I’ll soon be reporting the same! One more week and I’ll be at MY home by the sea! I’ll think of you when I take my morning walks, knowing you’ll be looking out over the water, too!
ReplyDeleteSome great finishes! Love sharkie, and how lovely is the clamshell Quilt! Good to see the supervisor happy.
ReplyDeleteyes I'm in the list club. Gosh your clam shell quilt is stunning! What happened to Sharkies wonky tooth? Did he pop to the dentist?
ReplyDeleteWell done you! Two great quilt finishes - I love the clamshells. xx
ReplyDeleteglad to here there was some sitting down in all that! Well done x

ReplyDeleteWell done on getting through your list!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the bulbs survive - they sound like they'll make a lovely show. Well done on the Shark quilt - it's come up really well. I adore your clamshells - such a beautiful finish.
ReplyDeletelists can be a really good thing and it's always so rewarding to tick things off. I love how you did your clamshells - shows them off so well.... shark quilt came up beautifully - someone will be very happy with that....

What a great day! You accomplished so much! You know, that dog DOES have a darned sweet face.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good feeling when we achieve things on our lists. Sadly, I seem to be adding more to my list than actually finishing anything. Looooove your clam shell quilt. Sharky is looking, well, scarey lol. Doing the Rounds is definately coming along beautifully.
ReplyDeleteBoth your clam shells and Sharkey quilts look fantastic, Sue.
