We have been back home over a week and I am not sure where the time has gone, a little sewing has happened, I have been grand dog sitting, reading, going to sewing group, same old same old!!
Last weeks Anthology block was done.
The latest wasgij has been completed, this one took a while.
Several hexies are in production for Tea and Cake
Today a fat quarter quilt is being sandwiched ready for quilting.
Back when we had our weekend away we went to Violet Town looking for info on David John Palmer
One of the lovely old buildings in Violet Town. After wandering around we discovered Violet Town closed on a Sunday afternoon, only place open was the petrol station.
The garden at this house was beautiful, spring had sprung here.
David John Palmers tree was the last one David John Palmer looked at of course!
David now wants to try and find out more about his family.
The entrance sign to Violet Town is painted by Leunig, this is where he comes from we were told.
And some puppy spam!!
Tira loves the garden and jumps on everything!!
Last Saturday I went with Belinda to Feed Me Bellarine to give Lana the vege quilt
I made a bag for it to go it with the left over fabric
I am happy to say Lana loved it.
This was my lunch at Feed me, broccoli steak, with watermelon, beetroot and asparagus, doesn't it look amazing!
The weather has been really changeable here lately, we have days like this
and then days like this where you are dodging the rai storms.
Time for some lunch and that quilt needs to be finished.Happy stitching.
Enjoyed reading your catch up post…
ReplyDeleteYour lunch does look very, colourful…
Is Tira your new fur baby ?? Very cute…
Lovely varied post Sue. I love the Violet sign - had no idea who Leunig was/is so had to look him up. Thanks for my cultural hit of the day! xx
ReplyDeleteViolet Town is such a lovely name for a town. What a pity everything was closed. Love the fabrics in your Tea and Cake hexies. Even though your week has sped by it certainly looks as if you got a bit of everything done. Tira is growing big...and is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, love the pics from Violet Town. That puppy is gorgeous! Your sewing is wonderful, as always. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteTura looks so cute amongst those flowers. David has something to keep him very busy now. Searching family history
ReplyDeleteYour lunch looks so fresh and delicious and Tira is just gorgeous. I have found from experience that a lot of country towns seem to shut up at 12 pm on Saturday...not good for the tourist. Lets hope that summer is better than our spring. Very productive in the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteAnother great post Sue. I love your hexies - they are gorgeous! Violet Town looks like somewhere I would love to live - just old & special & gorgeous. Look at that Cottage - when can I move in !!??
ReplyDeleteThat chow just reminds me so much of another very special Chow ... wonderful that you get to furry grandsit - I'll bet they waste just as much time as the two legged grandchildren do. xx
the time is sure disappearing... lots going on though... your lunch is so colourful. Lovely little town and cute pup... so fun to have a pup around...
