I made one wonky Anthology block when we were in NZ
and this one once we were home, I think I have 2 more to make and that is it!! Just a few filler blocks and then getting it together starts. Will be a challenge to decide where each block goes, I will have to make sure the colours are spread around.
Yesterday I sewed a heap of half square triangles, I was given a layer cake years ago and bought one in a sale recently, they are now all sewn up
the heap before I ironed them out. I am trying to use up fabric I have here, I think it will take me a long, long time.
I am off to Gisborne in the morning for a retreat for three days, so have three projects to work on, all blocks I have been given to finish up and put into quilts.
I had planned to have some photos of Finn here but I cant find the cord to connect the phone to the computer, so maybe I can publish this and then change it on the phone. Maybe blogger will be nice and allow me to do that!!
Adam and Finn when we went for a walk last week.
And with Ganma!
I made another Anthology block, I nearly forgot
A repeat photo of the pink and white block and the second block for this week.
I made a date and ginger gf loaf today to take away to the retreat and a big brew of spaghetti 🍝
Smelt wonderful as it was cooking!
Happy stitching.
Finn is a cutie. That cake looks wonderful. Enjoy the retreat
ReplyDeleteI think Fin is not so keen on his new diet! What a cutie. Love our quilting, too. Enjoy your retreat, your food is making my tummy rumble! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHard to believe you are nearly finished the Anthology blocks Sue. Will be great to see it all come together. Love all the pics of Finn - gosh he is growing. Really enjoy seeing their faces when they start on solids. Enjoy the Retreat Sue. xx
ReplyDeleteFinn is such a cutie .... looks like some character starting to show through.... well done with Anthology - it's a bit wierd when a long term project like that is coming to the end... have a great retreat time...

Some cute photos of Finn. He really is turning his nose up at that food. It must be feeling good to finally be getting to the end of the Anthology blocks. Have fun at the retreat.
ReplyDeleteNot quite sure what Finn is trying to express there but it does not look happy! Great shot. Nice to see the end of the Anthology blocks in sight and your cooking looks delicious - lucky retreaters. xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous (and cute) photos of Finn - especially the one with Ganma in her Kiwi hat! Wow, that is good you are nearly at the assembly stage for Anthology!! Have a great time at retreat :-)
ReplyDeleteNot too sure about those solids I think!!! LOL - what a cutie
ReplyDeleteWell done on Anthology - you will need a big area to lay it all out I think.
I've been making a lot of date & ginger loaves lately too -- one of those 3 ingredient things - so quick - so easy - so delicious!
Happy retreating!
Love the expression on Finn's face....no more thank you that is more than enough. Enjoy the retreat.
