Sunday

Today I dropped David off at his wargaming venue, then head off for a trip to Braidwood. There was some traffic on the way, a rodeo was on in one town, I saw lots of cowboy hats about, a kangaroo crossed the road in front of me, fortunately far enough away, but I was wary there might be more so slowed down, only to be tooted at by the person coming up behind me...they over took so they could hit any other kangaroos coming through!! Luckily there weren't any!!! I did make some wrong turns getting out of Canberra, I find the road systems here quite confusing. But eventually I got to Braidwood and had angreat time wandering around the old buildings...there was even a quilt shop, sadly it was closed, probably luckily for the credit card!!!!!

these roses are in a garden just down the road from where we are staying, they are just beautiful!!

hubby set up and ready to go
in the window of the quilt ahop was this fabric and it looked like chowchow puppies,
the fabric is upside down so I am sorry the photo is too.

there was a huge selection of fabric for childrens quilts

old bricks on the side of a building I wonder what the words said,

This made me giggle. ..I think we need one!!

Yes!! I knew there was a good reason for drinking beer!!!

the  court House, love the gates!!

the old Commercial Bank building

and the main reason I was here...was to meet the lovely Dzintra!!! I was going to drive to her place but it was too far to go there and back in the time I had, so we met half way in Braidwood. We have lunch in the Albion Cafe which was great and talked non stop. I am so happy to have met another wonderful blogging friend. Thank you Dzintra for coming to meet me, I had a great time.
