On our travels

We went to Wellington and had a look at the dam, painted at a cost of $2million I was told
The mural goes right across
The dam is low
You can abseil in the old quarry here.
I also did an Ad Lad that was about street art
In Denmark

The church door was open so I peeked in
And the vets
Heading north we stopped at Lake Muir (I think) the lake was very low
We had some company at our lunch stop

Such beautiful birds.

Then we arrived at Yallingup...I have been trying for sunset photos for three nights
I have been out geocaching and walking
Beautiful Caves House
This beach is famous amongst surfers apparently
Another attempt
Torpedo rocks to find another cache
Tonight was the best for the sunset
Tomorrow we head back to Perth and then Monday fly home. I am looking forward to being back home again.
Happy stitching.

More Giants

At Denmark I went to the Valley of the Giants tree top walk, I got a bit anxious as the walkway swayed under me, luckily I was mostly on my own. The trees are amazing

The trees are huge and apparently shallow rooted so the walkway keeps them safe
After the walkway I got down on the ground and followed the boardwalk
Grandma Tingle
Such beautiful colour on the bark
Sculptures were around amongst the trees, I didn't find them all

The fairy wrens are so cute, the real ones are all through the bush here.
Enough for now I think
Happy stitching.

Heading back up the coast

We went  to Denmark and stayed overnight at the caravan park, which was on the river.
The waters edge in the morning
Nice to see the pelicans
Then we headed to the Green pool about 20mins up the coast, a beautiful and most popular beach I was told
Oops back at the lake

Imagine this on a fine warm day. A couple were going in for a swim, it took them a while to get in 🥶

From here we went a bit more inland and through forest area with huge trees
There is a tree walk not far from here, you go up high in the tops of the trees, but we opted not to go there on this day
We stopped at
And the sign was right, we got lunch here, a stamp in my Adventure Passport at the Info Centre

There were lots of grass trees thru this area
And off we went.
Happy stitching.
