Thursday I had duty at the Royal Geelong Show on the table for the Guild, it was a slow morning, I sold one raffle ticket
but got lots of stitching done while manning the table, Jenny went off exploring the show and discovered Show bags!! She now has a surfeit of chocolate!!
the Kazaaz lady was next to us so we both had a play and made a tag
We have been for a wander along the beach
two pelicans were in residence on the light poles this one posed very nicely!
beautiful morning for a wander and a search for beach glass
this bird had calamari for lunch.
I have been making good progress with the Doing the Rounds quilt
the bias strip is all done Yay!!! The flowers are in place..now for the next challenge
the applique and getting all the points to meet up in the centre....might resort to a hexie or circle in the middle if needed
Yesterday we went to the Guild meeting, the speaker was Ro Bruhn and she was spellbinding....proof being I didn't take any photos!! Was too busy listening.
One part of show and tell, this is the backing fabric of a quilt..how special is that?
the back of another quilt..the fronts were beautiful but I was too slow to get a photo. But loved the backs.
just caught a scrappy quilt
Loved this one
Last night we had dinner at the Elephant and Castle in Geelong
A collection of Palmers!! Adam's partner was supposed to be with us but she is not well at present. We had a great dinner and a good time together.
Sun is shining, birds are singing, I might go spend some time in the garden.
Happy sewing.
Doing the rounds looks fantastic and I love the picture of the Pelican. xx
