Last One

The last KOGO rug has been finished and delivered
At the Bellarine Quilters we have made hearts to go in a card to let a group member know we are thinking of them if they are unwell or something happens to a family member. Jenny was super keen about this idea, so after a lesson on what to do and how to do it she made these
Very good for a first time I think. They have now been delivered to the group and Jenny has taken some home to work on there.
I spent some time in Geelong doing an Adventure Lab finding street art all done by women painters
I hadn't seen these before so was interesting to see some different art.

The Zygo cactus is in full flower and looks amazing
I had a walk with Beth and Finn in the week
On the way we watched a man feeding the pelicans
Finn was enjoying the sunshine
I have been working on the tea towel challenge - which has become bigger than Ben Hur!!
I am currently wrestling with it at the machine
Today I had to go to Ocean Grove for an appointment so went to have a look at the ocean
the wind was cool- there were a few brave souls in the water.
I am off to do some more wrestling
Happy stitching. 😊

Progress

More KOGO blankets have been finished here since I last blogged
There is another I haven't taken a photo of yet,  maybe tomorrow.
I have been working on a Santa Sack for Finn just need to make a cord for the drawstring
the Santa figures came from a fabric toy pattern, thought it looked better this way.
Last week we went into the city to see Shane's play
We had a great evening, the show was great.
I pinched a photo from Shane's Insta page
Before the show we had a wander around the city
We called in to visit Finn one evening while he was having dinner
Finn is 10 months old already
I lashed out recently and bought a kit from Shiralee Stitches,  the fabric is pre printed so I need to add the borders,  quickest quilt ever! It has been added to the to do one day list, which is getting longer and longer 😀.
We had a beautiful sunset one night this week, so much colour in the sky.
Off to do some more crochet now
Happy Stitching.

Some finishes

Jenny and I were very happy to deliver 5 knitted blankets to the chemist in Drysdale on Monday, ready for delivery to KOGO.
One wasn't recorded but looked amazing!
The rest of Monday was passed by going to Quilt group,  supermarket shopping and wholefood shopping. We came home fir a rest after that!! 😊
Tuesday afternoon we had a walk along the beach at Indented Head
The old paddle steamer wreck looked high and dry
A few pelicans were about
It is a lovely place for a walk
We had a wonderful brunch before walking
Today we have had a second visit to the Christmas shop
There were so many things to look at, a few goodies came home with us 😁
One afternoon last week I made a fiddle rug for Finn, Beth had said he loved zips
On dog fabric, with zips and things to chew and crunch and fiddle with
Finn is very happy with it
David has had a long weekend to Adelaide, he went over on the Overland train and said he was very well looked after. He flew back today, the plane was late leaving so he was an hour later getting to Geelong, but we happily filled the time at the shopping centre. We have had a hot day today  and this afternoon a storm is coming, feels like the tropics not Victoria !
Happy stitching.

Yesterday

was mosaics class and we were told about some mosaics in a little arcade in Drysdale, so had to have a look. This is what we saw
This was my favourite (avove)

I liked this one too, acknowledging local women

I thought they were impressive,  it is a shame they are tucked away and not easily found unless you are told where where they are.
Jenny arrived Tuesday afternoon,  we had lunch at Van Loons on the way home,  it was a cool and windy day and a bit breezy in the out door sitting area.
Yesterday we went to the local sewing group and then mosaics and the supermarket.  We have started on the KOGO bkankets.
I had better get up and face the day.
Happy stitching.
