Wrestling...

...with the machine and my latest idea...I thought making a sandwich and then sewing scraps of fabric on top would be a good idea.....but I have been wrestling with the volume of the fabric under the machine, yesterday and today...is slowly coming along...a parcel arrived in the post today from Diane...lovely lady...but look at the message she has on the parcel...how can I wait that long????

..some quilting activity is happening...have decided to free range quilt around the shapes and boy some of them are free range!!! Lol!! Have to keep a good grip on the fabric or it moves in a direction I do not want!!!

I keep being distracted by the view out the window......by the way Diane I think we have your sunshine today!!

and the supervisor has given up and is snoring on the couch!!! Hee! Hee!

Crewe.....but will we ever get there?????

We set off at 9.45 this morning for a 40 to 60 (depending on the traffic) minute drive to Crewe. So off down the motorway we went chatting away, I was supposed to be navigating and I did say we needed exit number 10 or 11 but along we merrily went, the next thing I knew we were half a mile from Liverpool!!!! Woops!!!!!  😲  So we turned around and headed back.....next we missed the next turnoff so had to work out where we were and take another route......do you get an idea of how this trip is going??? We finally found Crewe, but I couldn't follow the directions we had so had to make a phone  call for help!!  Luckily we were helped and found the correct street
All this was because I wanted to meet Diane and there she was on the door step...we were only about an hour and a half late!!!  😯
We had a lovely visit, it was so nice to meet Diane after exchanging comments and emails via our blogs.

Diane surprised me with a lovely present......this just reinforces for me that quilters are wonderful people!! She had made me one of her Diane bags
