Monday saw me at sewing group and Tuesday I finished off these One Block Wednesday blocks, 29 to goooooo!!!!! Yippee!!
International Sisters blocks made with the beautiful African fabric sent to me by the very generous Fiona.
Sunday afternoon we went to Pt Henry, which is between us and Geelong, to find some geocaches. I said to hubby, I will put in the umbrella as it looks like rain. No, he said we will be fine. We got half way to Pt Henry and the heavens opened. No worries says he it will stop soon. Mmmmmm...he sat in the car and I was the silly bunny getting in and out finding the caches...luckily I had my trusty gumboots on! Even better I found 6 out of 7 geocaches!! And would you believe once I got in to the car and said I am soaked that is enough for today, the rain stopped, the wind died down and the sun came out!!
Yesterday morning saw the Supervisor and I wandering along the beach front
this bird, a willy wagtail followed us for a bit and swooped back and forth across the path
You can see his tail but it is like a fan and they wave their little butts back and forth, when they are sitting on something. Such cute birds.
The wattle trees are in flower now, it is great to see patches of yellow in the bush.
and the fressias are growing wild in the park and bush section over the road, so I gathered a handful to take home. The house is full of their beautiful fragrance.
I have the sashings on the International Sisters blocks, hopefully tomorrow I will get to lay them out and work out some kind of order.
I am off to think about something for dinner.
Happy stitching.

ReplyDeletegorgeous sashing for your ladies! how appropriate with globes on it, love it.
Lovely blocks Sue. Your Gumboots are very cool lol! I love Willy Wagtails.....such feisty little birds too....not unusual to tick off a bigger bird. Very nice to have some pretty freesias to gather up for home xx

ReplyDeleteThe blue you are using for your sashings looks really good - very vibrant! It sounds like you are on track with your goal for finishing them? Hehe cute gumboots! Is the willy wagtail a little like a fantail?
